Intro

Hi! I'm MIDP.cloud. This page serves as an online resume, an about me page and also a way to reach out. For my professional experience, check out my work page.

Ever since Windows '98 I've been an IT hobbyist and avid gamer. With a background in electronic sports, very early on in life I already came into contact with gigantic IT organizations, partners and sponsors. After several years of hands-on experience in a (labor-intensive) production environment, I decided to move to a System Engineer position for OMP back in 2017. Since then, I've been implementing both on-premise and IaaS / PaaS / SaaS solutions for internal and external customers, with a heavy focus on structured project management and everything (Azure) Cloud. I was promoted to the position of Platform Manager/Azure Cloud Architect in a fast track, rewarding my work and time spent on growing OMP’s Enterprise SaaS solution.

In my pastime, you'll find me on my homebuilt (Keerbergen, Belgium) rig, playing around in Azure or scouring the internet for the latest software, hardware, cloud and gaming news. Outside of IT, my girlfriend and my dog, travelling and sports (running) keep me sane.

As a Platform Manager/Azure Cloud Architect, I design and deliver cloud solutions that fit the needs of our customers within OMP's Technical Services / Platform Delivery team.

OMP / Senior Cloud Consultant / Jan '21 - Jun '24

Assist in planning, design and implementation of Azure solutions for SaaS enterprise customers. Deploy and test enterprise-scale Azure cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions. Build security framework (privileged access management) with (min) annual audits (ISAE3402 & ISO27k). Deploy Azure infrastructure using Azure DevOps and Azure Automation.

OMP / System Engineer / Nov '17 - Apr '21

First, second and third-line support on Microsoft technologies including Microsoft/Office 365, Modern Workplace, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure. Implementation of IT projects, employee onboarding and definition of hardware standards.

REYNDERS label printing / Digital Operator / Sep '14 - Oct '17

Maintenance and operation of digital printing presses with underlying Windows Server systems. Developed strong foundation for everything Microsoft/Windows in a high performance production environment.

DIGITAL esports / Content Manager and Editor in Chief / Mar '05 - Aug '14

Editor in Chief / editorial staff for several high-profile esports organizations, leading partnerships with enormous reach. First introduction into working together with gigantic IT organizations, partners and sponsors.
